We’ve been dedicated to making QBank better, fast QBank during the last releases. In September, our focus also turned to our big event, DAM Day, where we showcased some of these exciting updates and connected with our community.
In our recent releases, we’ve concentrated on essential background work for our upcoming product, QPortal, which we were thrilled to present at DAM Day. If you missed the product presentation, you can catch up on The Future of DAM by Fredrik Berglund, our Head of Product. In this insightful session, Fredrik explores five key trends in DAM and how we’re responding to them with innovations like QPortal and QBank GPT. He also highlights the advantages of recent releases, such as the QBank Media Optimizer (QMO). If any of these developments inspire your DAM journey, feel free to reach out to your Account Manager or email us at Sales@qbank.se.
But of course we have also done some enhancements to QBank:
- 3D file previews: You can now preview 3D files within QBank. (Contact Sales for more details)
- New video player: A Video.js player has been added for improved video playback. (License required—reach out to your Account Manager)
- Enhanced search filtering: The “Has no value” filter now includes assets with blank spaces.
Our Browser connector got even better
We’ve made significant improvements to our browser connector, enhancing its functionality and user experience:
- SSO Login: The browser connector now supports Single Sign-On, making it easier than ever to access your QBank environment securely and seamlessly.

- QD-5698: Addressed an infinite loading issue when selecting a moodboard and then switching views.
- QD-5755: Ensured that audio files now display a player rather than a thumbnail in the preview.
- QD-5640: Users without unique settings in Connector v2 now correctly receive the default settings.

- QD-5555: Resolved an issue where changing categories via the
media.json
API endpoint didn’t update unique category properties. - QD-5431: Fixed a 500 error occurring when multi-editing a large number of assets.
- QD-5291: Corrected a display issue where a long list property value left the filtering field blank.
Upcoming Features: What to Expect in our Future Releases
We are excited to share some of the upcoming features and enhancements we are working on:
- We continue to enhance the consent feature by adding the ability to set a specific expiration date, in addition to the existing options for setting intervals of 1, 5, or 10 years. This provides more flexibility in managing consent durations.
- We will improve the browser connector so that it be detached from the window header, allowing it to function as a standalone application. This makes it more convenient to access while switching between tabs in your browser.
Stay tuned for more updates and enhancements as we continue to improve QBank, ensuring it remains the go-to solution for digital asset management.
