      November Release Summary

      During the recent sprints, much of the focus has been on behind-the-scenes work to prepare functionalities for QPortal. However, we’ve also made significant improvements to our connectors.

      New features and improvements

      Connector Settings 2.1
      We’ve enhanced the Browser Connector and Office 365 Connector settings for greater flexibility and control:

      • Unique targets per connector: Previously limited to categories, you can now set unique targets for each connector.
      • Group-based access control: Access can now be configured by groups for each target, instead of individual users.
      • Expanded customization: Additional unique settings have been introduced to allow for specific features tailored to each connector.

      Important Note: The Browser and Office 365 connectors currently do not support the new settings. Development is ongoing to implement this support.


      Browser and Office 365 connector updates

      • Improved search sorting:
        • Free text searches now default to sorting by relevance.
        • Searches filtered by properties default to sorting by latest (sorted by media ID, descending).
      • This ensures the most relevant or recently added assets are displayed at the top of search results.

      Adobe InDesign/Photoshop connector updates

      • Library Asset View: Users now see only assets from the Library (approved assets) in the connector, instead of assets from Upload, Trash, and Archive.
      • Updated Default Sorting: Free text searches in the connector now sort by relevance instead of by latest, offering a more intuitive search experience.

      Bug Fixes

      Addressed several issues reported by customers to improve user experience and platform stability:

      Version 5.30.0:

      • QD-6000: Fixed issue where image templates in the admin view displayed key values instead of readable titles.
      • QD-5968: Resolved an issue where videos sometimes failed to generate 6 thumbnails/previews.

      Version 5.29.0:

      • QD-5919: Resolved an issue with the "TM" symbol incorrectly converting in the title field.
      • QD-5848: Fixed the alignment of the button in the consent request email.
      • QD-5638: Corrected text description issues in the media object type dropdown when creating new categories.
      • QD-5525: Aligned checkboxes with labels in the User Account Ownership Transfer tool.
      • QD-5454: Fixed alignment issues in the left sidebar for folders, moodboards, and published sites.
      • QD-5312: Ensured proper field padding for consent requests.
      • QD-4681: Fixed broken previews in the "My Favorites" widget.

      Version 5.28.0:

      • QD-5885: Addressed an issue where audio files could not be unpublished.
      • QD-5234: Standardized the size of the "Published" (globe) icon to match other icons.

      Upcoming features: What to expect in our future releases

      We are excited to share some of the upcoming features and enhancements we are working on:

      • We’re continuing to improve the connector V 2.1 functions and are making them available in the Browser and Office connector shortly. 
      • We are currently exploring the potential of a BI tool and are preparing to initiate a proof of concept (POC). This involves simplifying the user interface for better usability, enhancing filtering options, and enabling data export capabilities to support integration with BI systems.
