QBank automatically scans all uploaded files for viruses and malware to keep your digital assets secure. This system protects against threats and makes it easy to manage flagged files.

Identifying malware-flagged files in the library

1. Shield Icon in Library View

Assets that have been detected with potential malware are marked with a shield icon in the Library view. This icon helps you easily identify flagged files at a glance.

2. Malware Detection Filter

To locate flagged files efficiently, use the malware detection filter. This filter allows you to view only the assets that have been flagged, streamlining your file management process.

3. Detailed Asset View Notification

When you open a flagged asset in the detailed asset view, a notification will appear below the asset. This message informs you that the asset has been marked as potential malware. From here, you have the option to clear the status, provided you have the necessary permissions.

How to manage malware-flagged files

Handling Restricted Actions

Flagged files cannot be published or downloaded until their status is cleared. If you attempt to perform these actions, you will receive an error message indicating that the file has been marked as suspicious and must be cleared first.

 

Clearing the Status of a Flagged Asset

To clear the status of a flagged file:

  1. Open the detailed view of the flagged asset.

  2. Click the link to clear the status.

  3. Confirm your action when prompted. A message will appear to ensure you understand the implications of clearing the status.

Only users with specific roles are authorized to clear the status of flagged files. This restriction ensures that malware management is handled securely and appropriately within your organization.
