You might want to add an existing folder structure, or part of, to your Moodboard. This is useful if you are sharing a large number of assets and want to provide a better structure of the shared assets, instead of having just one group of files.
NOTE: Folder moodbaords is an addon in your QBank, Reach out to your account manager if you are interested in adding folder moodboards as an option in your QBank.
In this guide, we’ll cover both how to create a folder-based Moodboard and how it works in practice.
Creating a folder-based moodboard
- Create a moodboard: Start by creating a new Moodboard as usual.
- Configure settings: Add your configurations as needed.
- Select root folder: Scroll to the Root folder field and choose the folder you want to add from the pop-up window. You can select:
- A single folder
- An entire folder structure (including all subfolders)
- Save your moodboard: Click Create Moodboard or Save & Close if editing an existing one.
How folder-based moodboards work
- Viewing in QBank backend: In the backend, folder-based Moodboards appear empty. However, the Moodboard itself will display the selected root folder and its contents.
- Folder structures: If you added an entire folder structure, you can navigate through it directly within the Moodboard. The structure unfolds as you click into each subfolder.
- Navigation: A pagination tool and a folder-shaped back button help you easily move through the folder structure.
This setup allows you to share organized collections of assets through Moodboards without manual updates—making collaboration seamless and more efficient.
