How to add a folder structure to your Moodboard

You might want to add an existing folder structure, or part of, to your Moodboard. This is useful if you are sharing a large number of assets and want to provide a better structure of the shared assets, instead of having just one group of files.

To enable this functionality, simply add an existing folder into your Moodboard settings (marked in print screen below). Please note that the selected folder as well as all its subfolders will be added.

Adding both standard and filter folders are supported, or a mix thereof.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Create a Business Moodboard as usual
  2. Scroll down to the Root folder field and click to add your folders from the pop-up window
  3. Create your Moodboard  (or Save & Close if you edit an existing Moodboard)
  4. Done! Good luck!

Auto-tagging assets based on folder metadata

NOTE: this functionality  requires the Folder Property Inheritor plugin. Please contact your sales representative for further information.

If the Folder Property Inheritor plugin has been enabled in your QBank, assets can be tagged automatically solely based on which folder they are stored in. This is extremely useful in the situation when you use a Moodboard to invite an external party to upload assets, as it tags the uploaded assets with the metadata that has been defined on the folder level. All the uploader needs to do is stand in the right folder when uploading the files in the moodboard.
