How does the allow overflow function work?

Allow overflow commonly seen when. creating templates is a function that helps you create formats where you can keep the ratio of the image correct

When you create an image template you can Choose the command Allow overflow (Yes or No).

Overflow No = Fit the box/frame

Overflow Yes = Fill the box/frame

If you want to crop your image you need to allow overflow (Overflow = Yes). 

Then you cut the parts of the Image that flow outside the resize frame.

Example with Resize 500 x 500

                 Overflow = Yes                                                                                            Overflow = No
