August release summary

During our last two releases, we’ve been busy enhancing QBank, focusing on both the core platform and expanding services like QMO. We've also made improvements to the customer experience with our most popular connectors, Office365 and InDesign.

Connector Enhancements

In this release, we've focused on enhancing our existing connectors for Office, InDesign, and SharePoint to improve usability and overall performance. These updates are designed to streamline your workflows and provide a more seamless integration experience.

InDesign Connector Updates

We've made significant improvements to our InDesign connector to enhance your workflow experience:

  • Simplified Asset Updates: When assets used in an InDesign document from QBank are updated, you can now easily update and upload all associated assets simultaneously. Simply multi-select, right-click, and use the new "Update QBank Links" menu option. This streamlines the process, as previously, each asset had to be updated individually.

  • Easier Configuration: We've added a new option in the menu that allows you to view and change the download location on your computer, making configuration more straightforward. This is also where you can access the download log for troubleshooting purposes.

These updates aim to make your experience with the InDesign connector more efficient and user-friendly.

SharePoint Connector Updates

Our SharePoint connector has been greatly improved, especially for users managing multiple SharePoint sites. You can now set general configurations that apply across all SharePoint sites, with the option to customize settings for each site individually if needed. This change simplifies management and makes the connector much more efficient to use.

Office 365 Connector Updates

We've streamlined the installation process for the Office 365 connector, making it much easier to distribute within your organization. Users no longer need to enter extensive configurations or login details, simplifying setup significantly. Additionally, the connector now supports Single Sign-On (SSO), enhancing the user experience and encouraging greater adoption across your team.

If you’d like to learn more or are interested in getting started with any of these connectors—or exploring other options—please reach out to your account manager for further details.

We have also done som general improvements in the product

  • Expanded Aspect Ratio Options: We've added support for a wider range of aspect ratios in video templates, giving you more flexibility in customizing video content to fit your specific needs.

  • Bulk Access Editing: A new option has been added under the "More" menu, allowing you to edit access permissions for multiple assets at once. This feature simplifies management and saves time when adjusting access settings across several assets.
