5.65 – QBank Release Notes

We’re back from the summer break with a new QBank release, packed with improvements, new functionality, and a few extra treats along the way.

This release brings improvements across search, AI, APIs, consent, statistics, and everyday workflows, together with updated connectors for Optimizely and Umbraco. There are also several bug fixes to make QBank more reliable and enjoyable to use.

Release Date 5.65:
August 17, 2026

What to expect soon

AI-generated Property Values

Property values can now show whether they were generated by AI or entered manually by a user. This makes it easier to understand where metadata comes from and distinguish between AI-generated and manually entered information.

Improved AI-assisted Alt-text, Descriptions & Keywords

We've further developed the AI support for automatically generating alt-text, descriptions, and keywords when uploading or editing assets. This helps reduce manual metadata work while making assets easier to find and use.

Connectors

We’ve also updated our connectors to support the latest versions of Optimizely and Umbraco, making it easier for teams to keep QBank connected to the tools they use to create and publish content.

Optimizely

The QBank Connector now supports Optimizely CMS 13.

Umbraco

The QBank Connector now supports Umbraco 17 &18.

 Search & Discovery

Improved Reverse Image Search

Reverse image search has been improved with structural image fingerprints, making it better at identifying visually similar assets.

The update also reduces irrelevant results, helping you find the assets you are looking for more accurately.

Search with OR in API v2

API v2 now supports OR searches, allowing you to search for assets matching any of several search terms.

This makes it easier to build more flexible search experiences when working with the QBank API.

Relevance Score in API v1

API v1 search now supports relevance scores and a minimum-relevance filter.

This gives developers more control over which search results are returned and how relevant they need to be.

API & Asset Management

Download Original Files via API

API v2 now allows you to download an asset’s original file using a time-limited URL.

This provides a secure way to access original files directly through the API without exposing permanent download URLs.

Statistics

Improved Date-range Picker

A new, consistent date-range picker is now available across all statistics views.

It also includes quick shortcuts, making it faster to select commonly used date ranges and compare statistics over time.

Consent

Consent Submission Confirmation

The consent form now asks users to confirm before submitting a request without agreeing to the consent terms.

This provides an additional step to help prevent accidental submissions.

User Experience & Workflow Improvements

Return to Your Previous Search Position

When using Back to search, QBank now returns you to where you left off in the search results, including your previous scroll position.

This makes it easier to continue browsing without having to find your place again.

Improved Expired Moodboard Information

Expired moodboards now display the moodboard name on the expired page, making it easier to identify which moodboard you are viewing.
