We are happy to announce that the latest version 5.31 of QBank is out. Below is the list of tickets that were included in this release.
Improvements made in QBank in this version:
- To improve usability and reduce errors, the property set name field in admin has been resized to allow better visibility for long names. Previously the view was too small and did not show the whole name which made it difficult to see full names, occasionally leading to mistakes in naming.
- To enhance platform security, QBank have improved its way of scanning all uploaded files for viruses and malware making it more visible and usable for our users.
We have implemented different ways to notify users of suspected Malware, but also different ways to manage these if they are found.
A new shield icon is added to the Library view to show if an assets has been detected with Malware
To more easily find these we have added a possibility in our filters to find flagged files:
In the detailed asset view you will me notified with a message below the asset that informs you that the asset has been marked as potential malware. You can choose to clear the status.
If you attempt to publish or download a flagged file, you will receive an error message indicating that the file has been marked as suspicious and must be cleared before use.
To clear the status of a flagged asset, simply click the link in the detailed view of the affected asset.
If you enter Clear status you will meet following message informing you about your choice.
NOTE: To clear the status of a suspicious file, you must have a specific user role assigned to your account. If you would like to discuss how to manage this role within your organization, please reach out to our support team for assistance. - To ensure a cost-effective and high-performing platform, QBank admins can now choose the format for preview and thumbnail images. This flexibility allows for optimized storage and performance by selecting formats best suited to your needs, such as AVIF, JPG, PNG, or WEBP.
- To make adjustments - Visit Settings in the left menu on the Administrator pages
(By default the format is set to .AVIF)

Connector Improvements made in this release:
Adobe InDesign connector
- We're excited to introduce a streamlined installation package for Windows! Now, you only need to deal with a single EXE file instead of navigating through three separate installation steps. This all-in-one package simplifies the process for IT admins, allowing for easy remote and silent installations directly to the appropriate user on their system.
- We can also share that now only assets from the Library will be visible in the connector, making it easier for you to find what you need. Previously, assets from Upload, Trash, and Archive were also displayed, which could be a bit confusing.

QD-6002 - Resolved incorrect asset counting in the tag section of the admin panel.
QD-5945 - Addressed a bug where sorting by relevance caused infinite loading for some assets
